I build cloud platforms that hold up — and I bring AI in only where it earns its place.
Senior DevOps, cloud platform engineering, and digital transformation consulting for teams that need migrations, modernization, and automation to survive contact with production.
Most “digital transformation” work is renaming the same problems. Mine is different: I’ve spent years actually running the platforms — the migrations, the 2am pages, the clusters that have to stay up — and I’m now pointing that experience at where AI can remove real friction, not just appear in a slide deck.
Six things I get pulled in for
Cloud Platform Engineering
Architecting and migrating production workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP — including a petabyte-scale cross-cloud migration run without disrupting the teams depending on the data.
Kubernetes & Container Platforms
Designing, building, and operating Kubernetes clusters that support multiple engineering teams in production — from cluster architecture through day-two operations.
DevOps & Delivery Automation
CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code that turn slow, manual deploys into something a team stops worrying about.
Data & Event-Driven Systems
ETL pipelines, Kafka-based messaging, and event-driven architecture connecting data platforms at enterprise scale.
AI-Augmented Engineering
Bringing practical AI into everyday engineering work — automation and solution design for the parts of the job that used to take a week.
Mentorship & Technical Leadership
Mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction — helping teams adopt ways of working that scale past one person knowing everything.
Where I’ve done it
TMX GroupSenior DevOps Analyst
Mission-critical hybrid infrastructure for the operator of the Montréal and Toronto stock exchanges.
BenevaCloud Engineer, Platform Team
GCP-to-AWS migration: shared platform services, Kubernetes environments, Terraform, CI/CD.
National Bank of CanadaSoftware Engineer
Data marketplace and data platform — ETLs, event-driven systems, APIs, petabyte-scale Azure-to-AWS migration.
TicksmithDevOps Engineer
Terraform and Kubernetes stacks behind a finance-focused data marketplace.
Muirwood StudiosDeveloper & Cloud Architect
Junior engineer to solution architect — led the move to AWS, modernized the stack, and built the platform behind large IoT device fleets.
The way I work
I assert what I know and qualify what I don’t — not the other way around. If a migration is risky, I’ll say so before it starts, not after it breaks. If AI isn’t the right tool for a problem, I’ll tell you that too, even if it’s not the popular answer this year.
Every recommendation has to make sense to the person signing off on it and the person who has to maintain it at 2am. I’ve mentored enough engineers to know the best infrastructure work is the kind nobody has to think about — a strange thing to optimize for, and exactly the point.
Certifications
